no, no one has contacted me from Popeyes I guess because she’s the GM I hear
The right-side door was locked so we used the drive-through at 11 AM on Saturday, December 21, and she was extremely rude. Despite our civil greeting, she responded rudely. The drive-through was empty, as was the store, yet she instructed us to use another door and questioned our thought process. I asked her for her name - she identified herself as Shakira T.
The DoorDash order I had was for a gentleman named Eric T. She confirmed the order was ready but refused to give it to me because I asked for her name, telling me to get out of the store. She also said someone else would pick it up. She then told an African-American male associate not to give me the order and walked off to the back of the restaurant with her food.
I've never been disrespected like this in my life. As a God-loving person who moved from California, originally from North Carolina, I've never eaten at a Popeyes before. But after this incident, I don't think I ever will. It was undeniably the most 'ratchet' experience I've had.
This occurred at the Popeyes located at 100 Deabun Loop in Chesapeake, Virginia. Please, I implore you, avoid this restaurant - Shakira T was unnecessarily aggressive.

I bought chicken last Friday. It was not properly cooked.
Within 30 minutes, my daughter and I started having stomach pains. Immediately, she started throwing up and having diarrhea. I started having diarrhea also. This situation lasted for three days.
We ended up in the ER. I have tried calling the store several times. I have called the Health Department. There is no number for headquarters.
I called other stores.
There is no number for headquarters. Run like *** from Popeyes.

We went to Popeyes in Springboro, Ohio. The first order was overcharged; the 10-piece tenders was $16.99, and we were charged $23.37.
Had that corrected, we were told there would be a 10-minute wait on tenders for our carryout order. While sitting and waiting in the dining room, we were approached and told we were being locked in because the dining room was closing. We finally got our food, which had now exceeded those 10 minutes. We got our order.
The employee didn't know how to unlock the door, so we had to wait while another employee was called. Another customer was trying to get in. He was told, when the door was finally opened for us, that the dining room was closed, to which he responded, 'No problem, I'll go across the street.' Across the street, which, by the way, is KFC. We drove home, which isn’t that far.
Imagine the disappointment when you see your ten tenders are ridiculous in size, looking more like chicken chunks. Continue the disappointment. The tenders we had to wait for were hard and cold. I was super confused about that fact.
It gets better; they were hard, and the first bite was like, 'Where is the chicken?' Popeyes is pricey for families. We were looking forward to our dinner. Oh, and the 4-piece chicken was hard and cold, and the chicken was tough.
It was a terrible, overpriced, disappointing visit. It will be a long time before we try it again.

I made a purchase at a location for a 12-piece original chicken meal, and half of the chicken was wings. When you spend that kind of money for a family meal, I don't feel half the order being wings is suitable for that price.

Horrible service
I placed a web order at 4:17. I didn't receive my food until 5:02, and my food was cold.
It looked like they had forgotten about my order. I was told it would take just a minute over and over.
Multiple people's orders were made and given, and I was just waiting there. And then to get my food and find it was cold and disgusting; this is unacceptable.

Did, and it kept saying my rewards code was invalid. Gave me an email address to contact, and it said it was invalid. So I went to the email address on the bottom of my receipt, and it said it was invalid. Customer support was no help because it's all frequently asked questions.
You can't talk to anyone with this company.
Very, very bad customer relations for the first time I was to use my rewards. Yes, last time.

I placed an online order and went to pick the order up. The young man at the counter was busy texting and asked me for my name.
He looked down at his phone again to complete his text and did not acknowledge me once I gave him my name. When he finally decided to acknowledge me, he asked me my name again. I gave it to him, and he proceeded to fulfill my order. I brought it to his attention that one of the items that he put together for me was wrong.
He went back and corrected it, and still left it out of the bag. I checked my order and there were certain items missing, and they decided to substitute an item without asking me if I was OK with the substitution. When I went back and requested a partial refund for the items that they did not have available, I'm not sure what he said to the manager because he said it in Spanish, and she came upfront and literally snatched the bag from me and told me she was just going to give me a refund. So I asked her why she had to refund the entire order.
It was for two different people. She rudely said again, 'I'm just going to return your money to you.' Very unprofessional to say she was the manager on duty. I in turn reported it to Popeyes customer service.
They said someone would contact me within 48 hours, and just as I suspected, I have not gotten a reply yet, and which I don’t. That's the quality of people that we have working in the customer service industry today.

No refund was issued dude to safety issue food at Reisterstown Plaza Location on Friday Octoberber 17 at the Reistertown Plaza .I ordered the 10 original spicy wings on line walk in to pick up stood there a while but noticed when the order was being packed the young lady dumped a Soiled Bottle of Hot sauce all over I said I cant eat . I need plain original cooked chicken with no sauce She became very Nasty and said this is what you order deed Im not changing you need to go online and talk to them She was very rude

I came in with coupons, and she said she could not use them because there was no barcode on them. I said, 'OK, that's fine.' Let me go ahead and just place my order.
I paid for it and went to the side to let her finish waiting on the other people who were behind me. I asked her, 'Ma'am, these are the same coupons that I was going to use that are sitting right here next to the counter. How come you couldn't have used those?' Then she told me to leave the building without my food and no refund of $23.09.
I still have not seen my refund. I was pretty angry because all I did was ask a question, even after I paid for my food.

I have ordered food at Popeye's locations in California, Michigan, and Ohio. I've always used the drive-thru, and except for one singular experience, every time the service has been surly, sullen, unfriendly, unhelpful, and outright rude.
The people taking the orders were usually mumbling and disinterested in your order. Getting information from them (like prices that are not on the menu) is like pulling teeth. Cashiers (at the window) rarely say anything other than the amount you owe. They rarely confirm your order, make eye contact, say hello, or thank you.
The people handing you your food sometimes say nothing. Not even thank you or ask what sauces you'd like. Consider yourself lucky if you get napkins. My most recent experience was so infuriating, I asked for a refund.
I was offered to keep the food (and still get the refund), but I declined. I had to go inside to process the refund on my credit card (with the manager), and I didn't even get an apology. They didn't care. In today's economy, with rising food prices and less disposable income to spend at a restaurant, I am committed to never buying food at Popeye's again.
I will eat elsewhere. Your chicken isn't that special. I can't help but feel that this behavior is part of the Popeye's corporate culture, and I refuse to part with any of my money that goes towards the salaries of undeserving employees. Their behavior seems to indicate some sort of resentment for being stuck working in fast food, as if they think they deserve (and are entitled) to be musical artists or professional athletes.
Restaurants everywhere are going out of business. I don't see how this makes Popeye's sustainable in today's market.
Good luck, Popeye's. You'll need it.

On Thursday, October 30th 2025, I pulled up to the drive-thru of Popeye's on Pine Street, Ocala Florida at 3: 29 p.m., after making my order at 3:30 the Windows Server said that he was out of thighs, so he asked the manager when was the chicken coming up and she replied don't ask that question again. But The manager replied only 3 minutes.
So I was told to pull up and wait shortly after getting my receiept and my drink at 3:31pm and told to wait and I got my chicken at 4:13 p.m.

We were in the drive-thru for over 20 minutes; the car in front of us never got waited on. They drove around and went inside, and after 10 minutes, they ordered their food.
Instead of the person asking me if they could take my order, they turned their back. This store in Waxahachie, TX, is one of the poorest-run I have ever seen. They can only do one order at a time. I've never seen such poor management.
Remodeling doesn't help if the service stays the same. What is so sad is that it hasn't changed from the start.
